Folding Doors

Folding Door Systems, also known as accordion doors, feature the doors that stack on the sides with no fixed posts or door panels. These doors are also called bi-folds. Folding Doors allow you to connect and divide living areas, and seamlessly join outdoor and indoor spaces. Since Folding Doors lack panels and posts that allows them to be opened for an unobstructed view and unrestricted ventilation.

Open Architectural Folding Doors are most often used to fully open a wall, and all that while using an aesthetically pleasing and high-end arrangement. Our Open Architectural Folding Doors are available in multiple configurations, opening outward or inward, and with an active panel that can be used as a regular door. The folding door system is constructed from a frame of movable sashes strategically placed to allow the door to fold up to the left or to the right. The before mentioned sashes of our Folding Doors are hinged to each other and supported at the base by a roller mechanism. This allows our Open Folding Doors to slide along the sill profile.

Open Architectural uses special hardware in the making of our Open Folding Doors to make their opening an effortless process.

• All door elements are folded and pushed to the side to save space for optimum room use
• An integral Tilt & Turn sash can be used as a passage or for ventilation like a terrace or balcony door independently of the folding elements
• Variable opening types, opening inwards or outwards
•  Energy-efficient, barrier-free comfort threshold with improved isothermal efficiency
• Optimised bogies on ball bearings, with quiet rollers made of PVC instead of stainless steel for more comfort and durability
• Small brushes in the rollers ensure a largely dirt-free roller track
• A cover strip with anti-slide grooves protects against soiling in the passage area

Barrier Free Threshold

We at Open Architectural also offer barrier-free type of our folding doors. We use a near flush-fit enhanced threshold to eliminate the barrier which can cause tripping or stumbling.
