Passive House

Passive house technology is one of the most innovative designs of Opens Architectural. It is a system designed to keep our homes in optimum temperature all year round. Thermal regulation and control in homes is a very important issue as standard homes in the USA must be designed with temperature control mechanisms to ensure comfort for people in their homes especially seniors and children.

The passive House system designed by Opens operates with a unique heat recovery system which helps to keep our homes nicely warm and insulated from the cold all year long especially during the coldest months where things can get uncomfortable and even hazardous for the occupants of a house if the right technology and practices were not used to ensure that our homes are safe and sound.

During the hot summer months, Passive House uses passive cooling techniques and high quality insulation to keep your home cool. These cooling techniques are very efficient and they ensure comfort ability such that during the peak of the summer periods when we have drastic temperatures and heat levels must be lowered and the houses must feel comfortable.

Passive House uses little as 10% of the energy required to heat and cool traditional homes. This is a vast improvement on efficiency and conservation of our resources. This we all agree is a sensible way of managing resources and making the best out of our resources. This has made the Passive House system the internationally renowned standard for sustainable living. The Passive House system is easily adaptable to any type of home and environment, making it a beautiful and sustainable option for any type of building and climate.
